JustPark has been coined the “Airbnb of car parking spaces”, it is an online marketplace helping to connect homeowners and motorists. JustPark offers motorists low-cost alternatives to traditional car parks whilst allowing homeowners to profit. The website and app give drivers access to a network of 150,000 parking spaces across the country. In January 2015, the startup raised £3.5 million on Crowdcube. Signkick is a self serve booking platform that makes it easy for customers to purchase outdoor advertising space from billboards, roadside panels to bus shelters across the UK. The startup was designed due to the poor quality of addressing around the world, they saw the opportunity to make something that was precise yet incredibly simple. The company is perfectly designed for people on the move. What3words has raised an amazing $3.5m Series A round led by Silicon Valley’s Intel Capital. The company also won the London Innovator of the Year award this year. Their office space is located in Studio 213 Westbourne Studios, next to Westbourne Park tube station.
Hassle is an online platform offering customers home cleaners for a fixed fee of £10 an hour across the UK. Co-founded in 2012 by Jules Coleman, Tom Nimmo and Alex Depledge it helps customers book a pre-vetted home cleaner for a one-off, weekly or fortnightly clean at a low rate. Hassle’s offices are located at Cranmer House in Brixton. Brixton is a popular location for startups due to cheaper rent costs, and exciting social venues.
