1. To increase concentration take a REAL break


There are hundreds of ways to make the most of your time during your lunch break. It is the perfect time to set yourself up for a great afternoon at work.

Taking a break even if it is for only 15-20 minutes, it is a proven way to stay focused and productive at work.

2. Ensure that you EAT…. the right food!


It is essential that you eat a nutritious and balanced meal at lunch. After all this meal is the one that will keep you going throughout the day. Whatever you do, don’t try to be the hard worker who chooses to starve themselves in order to finish another task. You’ll benefit in the long run if you grab a quick bite to eat.

3. Break a sweat… Workout!


Exercise is a great way to improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

The benefits of exercise are endless. Why not spend your lunch break in the nearest gym, taking part in a fitness class or simply taking a stroll outside. This exercise is the perfect way to forget about the troubles of work and rid work related stress. It also frees up time in the evening that you can set aside for quality time with your kids, friends and family.

4. Socialise


Lunch breaks provide the perfect opportunity for you to socialise and build relationships with your colleagues and your friends. Ensure that you choose to eat your lunch surrounded by people, this social interaction can significantly help to improve your mood.

The time can also be spent to connect with someone new, it can be a great way to socialist with a new client, new employee or someone you’ve never met. Take some time out of your day to get to know someone and enjoy yourself.


5. Me Time


Another option for your lunch break is to spend a little quality time… alone. This could be just what you need to rejuvenate yourself and collect your thoughts.

Why not run some errands on your break such as a trip to the doctors, hairdressers, nail salon, bank or anything that you don’t have time to do in the evening.

Another idea that we enjoy is learning a new language or skill that is just for you. Spend your 30 - 60 minutes practising your new language skills or learning a skill that you wouldn't have done before.
